Non-Immigrant Visa
A Non-Immigrant Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for
any of the following purposes:
1. Category F (Official): to perform official duties
2. Category B (Business): to work or conduct business
3. Category IM (Investment through Ministry): to invest with the concurrence of
the Thai Ministries and Government Departments concerned
4. Category IB (Investment through BOI): to invest, or perform other activities
relating to investment, subject to the provision of the established laws on
investment promotion
5. Category ED (Education): to study, to come on a work study tour or
observation tour, to participate in projects or seminars, to attend a
conference or training course, to study as a foreign Buddhist monk
6. Category M (Mass Media): to work as a film-producer, journalist or reporter
7. Category R (Religion): to perform missionary work or other religious
activities with the concurrence of the Thai Ministries or Government
Departments concerned
8. Category RS (Research): to conduct scientific research or training or
teaching in a research institute
9. Category EX (Expert): to undertake skilled work or to work as an expert or
specialist
10. Category O (Others): other activities
Documents Required:
The applicants must submit the following relevant documents, depending on the purpose of their visit:

Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and 5 days from the time of application.
- One set of passport photocopy page 1-5 (information page for Machine Readable Passport) & renewal page, correction page & last Thai visa page (if any)

Visa application form completely filled in with original signature.

2 recent passport sized photograph ( not exceeding 6 month) of the applicant.
(frontal view, without dark glasses & head gear except for religious
purpose .)
- Updated bank statement for the last 6 months in original ( 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family) with solvency certificate from concerned bank. Incase of company bank statement, trade license (original notarized English translated and photocopy of the original) have to be attached.
- Parent’s consent letter for under 18 applicant except applying with parent.
- Govt. officials would be required to furnish NOC.
- Photocopy of air ticket/printout of the booking.
Additional documents required for contacting or negotiating business:

Letter from a company stating the purpose of visit to Thailand.

Letter of trade partner(s) in Thailand addressed to The Royal Thai Embassy
stating the same purpose as local letter.
- Trade license ( Original of Notarized, English translated and photocopy of the original) from the applicant who is traveling first time and proprietor.
- Documents showing correspondence with trading partners in Thailand.
- Visa request letter from applicant.
Additional documents required for running or conducting business:

Company Registration with Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.

Visa request letter from self and from concerned authority.

Copy of corporate documents; namely 1) list of shareholders 2) business registration and business license 3) company profile 4) details of business operations 5) list of foreign workers stating names, nationalities and positions 60 map indicating the location of the company 7) balance sheet, statement of income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30) of the latest year 8) Alien income tax return (Por Ngor Dor 91) and 9) Value –added tax registration (Por Ngor dor 20), etc.

Document indicating the number of foreign tourists (for tourism business only), or document indicating export transactions issued by banks (for export business only)
Additional documents required to work in Thailand :

Contract of employment recognized by the Ministry of Labour,Thailand.

Employment contract indicating rationale for employing the applicant as well as his/her salary, position and qualifications (document must be signed by authorized managing director and affixed the seal of the company.).

Copy of educational records of the applicant and letters of recommendation from the prior employers, identifying the job description and length of service time.
- Work permit of the applicant or the WP3 approved from the Ministry of Labour, Thailand.
- Visa request letter from self & concerned authority.
Additional documents required for joining spouse/Parents :

Letter from spouse’s/parent’s work place or educational institution in
Thailand.

Passport’s photocopy with valid Thai visa page of spouse/parent/child.

Notarized original copy of translated marriage & birth certificate along with photocopy of original certificate (attested by concerned authority).
- Bank statement of spouse or family in Thailand.
- Copy of Work Permit of spouse or family member.
- Visa request letter from applicant.
Additional documents required to study in Thailand

Acceptance letter from School, University or Institution signed by concerned
authority.

Last educational certificate certified by MOFA.

Sponsorship letter with bank statement. Incase of company bank statement, trade license have to be attached.
- Visa request letter from the applicant
Additional documents required to perform missionary work or other religious activities

Official Note certifying the purpose of travel from the Government Agency in Thailand.
Additional documents required to attend meeting, conference, seminar and
training

Invitation letter to attend above purpose.

Visa request letter from self & from office mentioning the same purpose & ID card (if any).

Trade license (Original English translated and photocopy of the original) from
the applicant who is traveling first time and proprietor.
Multiple Entry Visa:
Multiple entries is only for Business and Medical purposes
The validity of Non – Immigrant (Multiple Entry visa) is 6 months, 1 year and 3 years (Non – Immigrant 3 years multiple – entry visa is only for business purpose).
3 years multiple entries visa applications need prior approval from the Royal Thai Embassy before submission of the passport & visa fee.

Trade license (Translated in English & Notarized and copy of original) in case of proprietorship
- A letter of recommendation from business associations of which the applicant is member ( for a 3-year multiple – entry visa)
Medical -
- Medical Card / certified letter from the hospital in Thailand addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy.
- Letter from applicant requesting multiple-entry visa and mentioning the necessity of obtaining the multiple –entry visa.
Visa Fees for All Non-immigrants
Single Entry: Taka 5000 per person
Multiple Entries (valid up to 1 year): Taka 12,500 per person
Multiple Entries (valid up to 3years) only for business purpose: Taka 25,000 per person
VFS Service Fee: Taka 400 VFS per person
Bank Charge: Taka 40 per person
