Do I require a Visa to Visit Thailand?
Passport holders from the following countries do not require a visa when
entering Thailand for tourism purposes if their stay in Thailand does not
exceed 30/90 days, as the case may be. The applicant must, however, possess
sufficient instrument of means of living expenses (20,000 Baht per person or
40,000 Baht per family).
Country which has concluded agreement on the exemption of visa requirement for
holders of diplomatic passport with Thailand and permitted to stay for 30 days.

Visa Exemption
According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements dated 1 October B.E. 2545
(2002), 20 December B.E. 2545 (2002) and 18 October B.E. 2547 (2004) , passport
holders from 39 countries and Hong Kong SAR do not require a visa when entering
Thailand for tourism purposes if their stay in the Kingdom does not exceed 30
days. However, the applicant must possess sufficient instrument of means of
living expenses (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family).
Please also be advised that ordinary passport holders of 39 countries and Hong
Kong who intend to engage in certain activities are eligible to apply for a
visa when entering Thailand if their qualifications meet the conditions set

What is the Visa application procedure for Diplomatic / Official
passport holders?
Diplomatic/ Official/ UNLP
Passport holders will apply with the VFS Thai Visa Application Centre on any
working day (Sunday-Thursday) between 0800 hrs- 1200 hrs & 1400 hrs - 1500
hrs if the purpose of visit is personal. If accompanied by a Note Verbale then
the Visa Fee will be Nil but have to pay VFS service charges of Taka 400 per
person. If not accompanied by a Note Verbale then the applicant has to pay the
respective Visa Fee, VFS Service Charges of Taka 400 per person & the Bank
Demand Draft making fee of Taka 40 per person.
Do I need to pay any other fee apart from the Visa fee?
Yes, you are required to pay the VFS service charge of Tk.400 (inclusive of
all) per passport. Other Charges payable for Value Added services are:
If you want to make a DD - Tk. 40 (All inclusive) as DD charge.
I want to apply for Transit Visa and am scheduled to visit
Thailand more than once during this visit, what will be the Visa fee?
Transit Visa Fee is Tk. 1600 Per entry. (For Instance if an applicant
wishes to enter 4 times to Thailand then his/her fee would be Tk. 1600 X 4 =
Tk. 6400)
Do I need to come in person to apply?
Any one can submit your application as long as it is filled in complete and
signed by the applicant.
